PitchX
How it works
PitchX runs in phases. You will always see which one you are in and what it asks of you — you do not need to memorise this page.
- 01
Team formation
Find two to five people and form a team. You cannot submit an idea alone.
- 02
Idea submission
Work through the idea builder. Nine short steps, and you can save a draft at any point.
- 03
Discovery & validation
Explore other startups, answer their validation questions, and back the ideas you believe in.
- 04
Build sprint
Build something. A clickable prototype beats a perfect description.
- 05
Under review
Reviewers are scoring submissions. Keep building — your prototype still counts.
- 06
Finalists announced
Finalists have been announced. Everyone's feedback is on their journey page.
- 07
Pitch prep
Finalists: complete the pitch checklist and confirm your slot.
- 08
Pitch day
Pitches are happening. Finalists, check your slot time and arrive early.
- 09

How teams are shortlisted
Reviewers score every submission against a published rubric: the problem, whether you understand your users, the solution, what makes it different, whether it could be built, what you actually built, and whether a stranger can follow your writing.
Community support is worth a small, capped share on top. It helps. It does not decide. A team with a large friend group cannot out-vote a better idea, and a quiet team with a working prototype is not disadvantaged.
